Sophia Loren returned to her roots and showed beauty pageant contestants exactly how it’s done as she arrived to crown the new Miss Italy 2010 last night.
The actress, now 75, returned to the contest which she won in 1950 looking sensational in a silver full-length dress and giving the younger Miss Italia contestants a run for their money.
As elegant as ever, Loren sat on the judging panel and gave the young hopefuls pointers before crowning the new Miss Italia 2010 Francesca Testasecca.
Sophia, who famously posed nude for the Pirelli calendar in 2006, said she is proud to be a role model for sexy women in their 70s.
She said: “I’ve never hidden my age from the world because I don’t care. We can’t hide time. I’m not frightened of it. I’m finding my second youth.”
