Tracey Emin, Twiggy and Thandie Newton are among the stylish celebrities to create pieces of art for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Celebrity hairdresser Michael Van Clarke came up with the idea – HareStyling – where each of the 70 contributors have expressed themselves through drawing hare-shaped artwork, which are now up for auction.
Speaking about the art work Van Clarke said: “I thought it would be wonderful to see artists across different media, and see how fashion designers worked on canvas bringing another dimension to the appeal”.
Van Clarke’s (who is the brother of Nicky Clarke) daughter was given a life-changing operation at the hospital when she was two years old, and now aged 15, she too has drawn a hare to help raise funds for two new operating theatres.
The pieces will be on display until this Sunday 8 at the Heartbreak Gallery Marylebone.
