Givenchy Collaborates With Converse, Revamps The Chuck Taylor

There are two things Givenchys creative director Riccardo Tisci loves above all else: leopard print and crosses. Well, and black. And also Mariacarla Boscono. So, I guess four things.

Anyway, the house of Givenchy has collaborated with Converse to make a moody new version of the iconic Chuck Taylor. Style.com has the lazy copy:

Announced today: the first collaboration between Converse and Givenchy, a new sneaker that draws on both Riccardo Tisci’s signature fascinations and Converse traditions . Waiting for, as they say, the other shoe to drop? Here it is: The kicks are available exclusively in Japan; they’ll hit Converse stores there, as well as Givenchy shop-in-shops at Mitsukoshi, Isetan, and Hankyu, on April 27.

Actually no, I was not waiting for the other shoe to drop, as I dont think exclusively in puns. However, Im saddened theyll only be available in Japan, while simultaneously enthused because they will probably cost hundreds of dollars.
