Not only unsightly, the toning shoes with the wobbly, Frankestein-esque heels are actually dangerous.

Consumer Reports announced that the shoes were the top complaint-getter in a database established by the Consumer Product Safety Commision in March. The fact that this footwear is dangerous is not new news.

Podiatrists have been quietly raising concerns about the shoes for years. Yet they still continue to sell well and offend our eyes at the mall.

Of the complaints on the database, 15 of 36 people reported broken bones, some of which required surgery.

The rocker design is a popular faux fitness aid and has been employed by Skechers (which received the most complaints in the database), Avia, Champion, Danskin Now and New Balance.

The young director/cinematographer Lina Pliopyte, for whom Guts is the longest film on her resumé, accomplished this by dividing the doc into three vignettes, each of which explores one of the following themes: partnership, gender and the creative process. Each t

Tommy Ton favorite Milan Vukmirovic, formerly of LOfficiel Hommes and Trussardi and currently of The Webster in Miami, was making the rounds at the mens shows last month. But it was no buying trip. Vukmirovic is launching a mens fashion magazine of his own this October, and Style.com has just learned the name. Ready for it? Fashion For Men. I wanted something really simple and international, Vukmirovic told us. Its about real clothes and real product, its time to come back to that. Look for the English language mag on shelves during the Paris womens shows.
