Two takeaways from my day at Spa Nordstrom.

1) You haven’t LIVED until you’ve had a hot stone massage massaged onto the bottom of your feet.

2) Confess all of your skincare sins to your esthetician. You can’t hide…and if you try to, she can’t help you.

I’m currently on a month’s holiday in South Africa, and I’m again on a beauty quest to find the secret that keeps South African women looking so gorgeous! I love discovering beauty treatments, ingredients and secrets from all over the world and here in this beautiful country, the secret is Rooibos Tea.

Used for generations by the Khoi and San people of South Africa, this tea grown only here is slammed full of rich antioxidants that help eczema, acne, aging and skin allergies. The mixture of all types of skintones here in this part of the world from very dark to porcelain seems to be line free and fresh looking.

Going through the pictures of the 2012 Golden Globe Awards Ceremony, I noticed something was sticking out as a trend on the Red Carpet. Did you see how many pale, soft colored dresses were in attendance?

White, white with a hint of pink, white with a hint of gray, white with a hint of peachy, white with a hint of whatever, you name it, it was there tonight! Everyone was wearing floor length dresses , flowy fabrics, simple designs . We already admired one of the pale fans tonight: Angelina Jolie. Her pinkish white was lovely but my absolute favorite was Elle Macpherson. Elle’s gorgeous Zac Posen dress stole my heart!

On the scent of our favourite SS12 bad gal floral bouquets at Ashish, this Thursday we’re excited to catch the Test Presents screening of legendary mischievous Czech film ‘Daisies’ introduced by guest host and Fashion In Film festival director and curator Marketa Uhlirova. Few feminist farces look this glorious and come underpinned by such an irreverent philosophical agenda… And naughtiness for the sake of naughtiness is something one can never turn one’s nose up at.
